We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide and secure this website, deal with enquiries or comply with legal obligations. Under the technical configuration currently intended for the website, we do not use analytics or tracking services, advertising networks or social media plugins. Fonts used on the website are hosted locally and are not loaded from external font services.
When you access our website, technical access data are processed and recorded in server log files. These data may include, in particular, the IP address, date and time of access, the resource requested, referrer URL, browser and operating-system information or user agent, HTTP status code and volume of data transferred.
The processing serves the technical provision, stability and security of the website and the detection and investigation of misuse and security incidents. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of our website.
Server log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes. Where individual data are required to investigate a specific security incident or to comply with a legal obligation, they may be retained until the relevant investigation has been completed or for the duration of the applicable legal obligation.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide in order to deal with your enquiry. Where you yourself would be a party to the prospective lawyer-client relationship and the processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into that relationship, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, the processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the proper handling of enquiries and communication with prospective clients and other contacts.
End-to-end encryption cannot be guaranteed for ordinary email communication. For particularly confidential information, we will be happy to agree an appropriate alternative means of transmission with you.
If you use our contact form, we process the information entered there, in particular your name, email address, any telephone number provided and the content of your message, in order to deal with your enquiry. Technical access data are also generated in connection with transmission of the form.
The legal bases are the same as those described above for enquiries by email and telephone. Required fields and voluntary information are identified as such in the form. Without the information marked as required, we cannot process your enquiry through the form.
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the contact form until we have confirmed that we can act for you. Sending an enquiry does not by itself establish a lawyer-client relationship.
Enquiries that do not result in a lawyer-client relationship are retained only for as long as necessary to deal with them and to document and protect our rights. Relevant criteria include completion of the enquiry and, where applicable, statutory limitation or retention periods. The data are then deleted unless statutory obligations or overriding legitimate grounds require further retention.
For the technical operation of the website and the transmission of electronic communications, we use service providers in particular for hosting, technical administration and email transmission. They receive personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant service. Where service providers process personal data on our behalf, they are engaged under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
Personal data are disclosed to other recipients only where this is necessary to deal with your enquiry, where we are legally required to do so, or where another legal basis permits the disclosure.
Personal data processed in the course of our legal work are, in particular, subject to the professional duty of confidentiality under Section 43a(2) of the Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung (BRAO) and Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB). We provide separate information on the processing of personal data in the course of our legal work and on the applicable information duties under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR.
Under the technical configuration currently intended for the website, no cookies are used for analytics, marketing or profiling. Where information is stored on or accessed from your device, this occurs only where strictly necessary to provide a digital service expressly requested by you. No consent is required for such strictly necessary operations under Section 25(2) TDDDG. If services requiring consent are introduced in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain any required consent before the relevant access takes place.
Our website contains links to external websites. External content is not automatically embedded in our website merely because a link is displayed. If you follow an external link, you leave our website; any subsequent processing is the responsibility of the respective provider in accordance with its privacy information.
Our website offers a search function. The search term you enter is processed in order to determine search results and may appear as part of the requested URL in the server log files described in section 3. No further content-based analysis of search terms is intended. Please do not enter confidential information into the search function.
No personal data are transferred to recipients in countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area in connection with the operation of this website.
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access to personal data concerning you (Article 15 GDPR), rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and data portability (Article 20 GDPR).
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
The right of access may be restricted to the extent provided by law, in particular where providing information would disclose matters subject to a statutory duty of confidentiality (Section 29 of the German Federal Data Protection Act — BDSG). Further statutory restrictions on data subject rights remain unaffected.
To exercise your rights, please contact us using the details set out in section 1.
Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is, in particular, the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
This website is provided over an encrypted connection (TLS). We also implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, in particular against loss, destruction, alteration and unauthorised access.
Status: September 2026. We will update this Privacy Policy if the processing of personal data on this website or the applicable legal requirements change.
